Kitty Fund Awards $1.25 Million To Moms Who Start Businesses

Kim Folsom’s mother, Catherine “Kitty” Abrams Tadlock Webster, was an entrepreneurial powerhouse who built not one but two highly successful businesses. She later went on to help her daughters Kim and Meghan build three of their own companies: Five Mountains, a real estate development firm; MyFavoriteFlorist.com, which resulted in Meghan’s winning the Small Business Innovation of the Year Award in 2008; and Founder’s First, a business incubator that helped shape future entrepreneurs. Although Kitty passed away in March of 2020 from pancreatic cancer at the young age of 55, she lived a full life with her family and friends by her side. After her death, Kitty left behind a legacy and request to be granted small micro-investments to aspiring female entrepreneurs competing in small employer-based businesses. Thus, the Kitty Fund concept was born.

I am excited that I am a Semi-Finalist for the Kitty Fund GRANT!

I am very grateful!

The Kitty Fund is an award that makes micro-investments in female founders who run small businesses with 2 or more employees. In honor of Mother’s Day and Founder’s Checkbook founder Kim Folsom’s mother, Catherine “Kitty” Abrams Tadlock Webster, who passed away in March of 2020.

Back in the Studio for Season 21!

I guess the show is grown now. Mature enough to handle some really tough topics and do what it wants to do. It certainly can pay it’s own bills and I am happy for that! It even has it’s own place now! That’s right, 3 places! Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV and Roku! You can download the apps into your smart TV and watch it anywhere you can get internet. It’s not on social media, it’s on MY TV Channel – The Wright Place TV Channel

It feels like years since I have been in the studio, but it seems to be flowing back to me easily and check lists are a big help. All guests will be virtual, as we face an unsure future with the DELTA virus, I would rather be safe.

There are a few changes to the show and I look forward to them. The full shows will no longer be on YOUTUBE. There maybe some clips but that’s all. I hope you will download the Wright Place TV Channel app and go on this new journey with us!

Today’s Guests:

Pamela Stone, Vision Made Magazine, The Stone Method
David Foote from Marianella.co will be here to talk about clean Luxury skin care

Musical Guest

Business Crowdfunding at CSU San Bernardino

I love teaching about crowdfunding. I love sharing the different uses and what’s going on around the world in terms of new financial applications of crowdfunding. In America, we have a very narrow view of it. It seems like the outlook is GO- FUND ME- a tragedy happened- help someone- type of situation. I teach about business and raising money for a legitimate charity.

I don’t teach the classes on how to pay your rent, go on vacation, or get a car with crowdfunding. My focus is to open the eye of entrepreneurs on how to use crowdfunding and understanding what alternative funding has to offer. The class with CNAM is excellent because it has international students. This year the students from FRANCE were vigilant and interested in how to use it for their business ventures. They were very clear about what they wanted to do in the future, and their minds were taking every piece of information and relating it to their business goals. I had a lot of fun. I got to share my three favorite campaigns. A Pug Named Fender, I Used to Be You and Final Straw.

If you need help with alternative funding and would like to work with me on getting it set up visit  www.getcrowdfundednow.com to learn about my consulting program
