Should your business outsource certain services?

Should your business outsource certain services?
There is a dilemma that many businesses face when planning a business strategy; should we outsource some services or bring in experts to fulfil the role? It is a question that gets different answers and it largely depends on the company. For example, what budget do they have for new staff, what would that person require to fulfil the role properly?
Large, multinational companies often choose to bring in the right person so that all the services are kept in-house but for SME’s it is often more efficient and cost effective for them to outsource the service.
What type of services can we outsource?
The answer is everything! You can find experts in all industries and sectors that can look after a particular service for you. The most common services that people outsource are the cleaning of the offices and surrounding areas, waste management which includes recycling and security which is especially important if you work on a site that has tens of thousands or millions of pounds’ worth of equipment to protect.
The growth of digital marketing has also led to an increase in agencies that are offering a range of services that help grow a company’s online reputation. The main point that needs to be made is that if you are not proficient in these services then you need to consider outsourcing them.
What are the advantages of outsourcing?
By outsourcing you are leaving your services in the hands of the experts, people who specialise in that particular area of business every day. They will have detailed processes already in place as well as knowing the ins and outs of the industry.
The leading companies, such as MITI will even provide you with a dedicated team that will be solely allocated to your business. The only negative of outsourcing for many companies is that they do not get someone whose sole focus is your company but by choosing one of the leading companies this negative is no longer applicable.
Do the costs of outsourcing outweigh the advantages?
You have to consider the costs that you would have to incur if you were going to set up the service in-house. The cost of all necessary equipment, investment in research, the list can be endless. It is not just the experience and knowledge that you can take advantage of, it is the years of fine tuning the process and technology that makes the facilities management companies so proficient in what they do.
Who can we use to outsource?
There are many facilities management companies on the market but there are some that have more experience than others. MITIE has a vast amount of experience in a variety of sectors including retail, education, healthcare, government, IT, leisure and more so a visit to www.mitie.com will tell you all you need to know about the company as well as how they can help you outsource some key services.
Make sure that the company you choose has experience in your sector as every sector is different and requires a different strategy. The leading companies will be able to call on years of experience to offer you the most effective deal possible.

Recently a group of designers and other professionals in the fashion industry came together. After many long discussions and sharing of our experiences, we saw a change was needed not only in the fashion industry, but in the whole of society. And so the idea of Angelpass was born.
We share the common vision of a just, harmonious society: equality, individual dignity, fairness and honesty in business and social interactions; cooperation rather than adversarial relationships. We want to see our fellow man uplifted, rather than exploited. Especially, we want to see the new generation of professionals in the creative arts freed from the pitfalls of unscrupulous business dealings. We want you to have other options to make your way in your careers.
We are not just idealistic dreamers: we are highly experienced professionals who know our way around the fashion design world. We know exactly what help and opportunities you, as the younger generation, need to find your way in the fashion industry and related creative fields. And we are convinced the negative aspects of the current system can be circumvented by mutual cooperation and networking — networking through Angelpass.
You, the younger generation, will soon be the leaders in all the creative fields. Angelpass is for those of you who know you have something special inside of you, some special destiny and reason for your talents. You who are over-comers, who believe in yourselves, who know what you want to do with your lives and believe you can do it.
Angelpass is here to help you do it.

ANGELPASS FASHION SHOW PARTIES
Each year Angelpass will choose 10 to 15 outstanding designers from our membership. We will honor them with four “big bash” celebrations, one for each season of the year. We will post notices of the date and city of each party, and invite our member designers to apply by submitting samples of their work to our selection panel. Each year the parties will be held in different cities around the world.
PERSONAL PROFILE PAGE
Put up your own Angelpass Profile Page on our website (similar to a Facebook page).
This is your premier networking resource for jobs, volunteer opportunities, and social connections. It is the best way to find anyone and anything you need for whatever project you are working on.
If you are a designer planning a fashion show locally or abroad, you may put out a call for models and other support professionals. Put up your own notice and browse through the Personal Profile pages to find paid or volunteer staff in the city and country where you are booking your show. (We suggest designers donate the pieces from their collection to any volunteer models and support staff.)
Remember– we are global, so spread your wings and reach out!
How FoodCycle eco café raised $7,942 in a Week

FoodCycle is an Eco Cafe in London which uses food that
would have gone to a landfill to create a “pay what you can” lunch.
They are only open on Fridays.
This money will help them stay open for another year.
They used the Peoplefun.it platform.
They used Twitter and had some celebrities support it.
274 people backed this project.
They also used Facebook, Google+, Tumbler, and Linked in
This was a very short project. No doubt they were clear on
their audience and did a lot of pre-planning.
Thom from Channel 4’s Three Hungry Boys visited the café to show their support by
making a video.
Daniel Turi, the FoodCycle Café Co-ordinator, said: “It’s amazing how people came together through Twitter over just five days and raised enough money to keep the café going for another year.
“It shows the importance of the café in the community and we’re now really looking forward to doing more and more in the future.”
