Why You Should Use A Free Time Tracking App
If you are anything like most employers, it is important that you are aware of the number of hours worked by each worker. One way to achieve this would be to use a free time tracking app. Here are several reasons that this would be a wise choice.
One thing that employers cannot stand is trying to decide how to schedule employees. This is the case when schedules are variable and can change wildly from week to week. Not only is it hard to create a schedule, but it can be difficult to remember and keep track of the hours each person is supposed to be on task. A time tracking app can make this much simpler. You can select a schedule with ease, then look at it as the week progresses to ensure everything is going smoothly.
It is very commonplace for workers to leave shortly before they are scheduled to. If someone has a habit of putting in their end time as a bit later than it should be, an app can help you catch this. For example, if you see that an employee had consistently logged in at 4:45 pm to put their time and they are scheduled to leave at 5:00 pm, you can ask why this is. Perhaps they are trying to fudge the system and get credit for hours not worked, or maybe it is something harmless. Either way, the software will help you figure things out.
When you run a business, it is important to get the most out of each minute of your time. Every minute wasted is time that could have been spent doing something far more productive. It is a good idea to get an app to track time for this reason. You will no longer have to run around the office asking why timesheets have yet to be submitted. It can all be as simple as setting a reminder to employees when they haven’t done it yet and logging in to approve everything once they have completed the task.
Whether you believe it or not, there are some employers who use these apps to check their own time. Imagine a world where you can use every minute of your time wisely. There will be no more wasted moments and times when you were twiddling your thumbs and you could have been doing something else. When you are the boss, it can be hard to stay on task. Using an app can certainly help you with this. The best thing is the fact that a free app can actually help you make more money.
Instead of sitting there wondering if this type of app is truly as great as you are being told, you should try it out for yourself. Since there will be no cost to you, it is not like you have anything to lose. Once you start using time tracking software, the only regret you will have is that you did not try it sooner.

Focus on your business
Success comes from focus. I know it seems like people who are successful are just hanging out with their friends and doing nothing and everything just comes to them.
They are not thinking about it or doing anything, it just flows to them. Well it’s not entirely true. Usually these stories are to help them sell you their product. Everyone here is an adult, right? So let’s get real. It takes some work to make it all happen. You do not have to be the one doing all the work, however, the work needs to get done.
When I interviewed John Assaraf, he said, “Success does not come overnight!” Wow! From a guy in the secret? Yes, from the guy in the secret. He had some things in place. By focusing on doing a few things well, you can actually get more done. When projects come your way, you can decide to be a part of them or not, based on what you do well. When people are asking you to be an expert in the area of you do not want to be in, you can say, “No, This project is not for me.” By consciously choosing your projects, you can stay focused on them until the end.
Multitasking is over rated. The time that one has to take, switching from thing to thing and resetting your mind makes the tasks take longer! Multitasking is to be avoided if possible. We have a lot of choices all the time. All entrepreneurs need to learn to make decisions quickly and stick with them. By not making a choice or claiming it’s too hard to make the choice, you take yourself out of the game.
Which projects move YOU closer to your goals? Not your friend’s goals or your child’s goals but YOUR goals. Those are the projects worth focusing on. You can re-evaluate your goals from time to time to make sure you are on trac. You can lso re-prioritize projects while doing them. Some things can go off the list if they are no longer needed or you get new inforamation that makes the task obsolete. Any task not moving you towards your goals should be delegated or gotten rid of.
That is why you need a team. You cannot do it all. You can use assistants or hire staff. It really does not matter, what matters is that YOU are not doing everything yourself.
I use an Executive Virtual Assistant who specializes in clients who in are the public. You can ask your Aunt Sally to help you, as long as she is good at what she does. Students are great. They need money and you need help! That can be an easy match. Mario Van Peebles said “Never confuse people you like for people who are good at what they do.”

- Check lists I love check lists. Even though I have taped over 250 shows, I always have a check list for each show BEFORE I get to the studio
- Templates each invitation has a template which is quickly customized with the name of the guest and the tape date
- Plan your day Planning my day makes sure I have enough time to get everything done.
- Use a Timer Occasionally I use a timer to see how long tasks actually take. Then I can plan my day better. If I know a tast usually takes 15 minutes, I can fit it into a 15 minute slot of what would have been down time.
- Proper Delegation By delegating the right tasks to the right person, you move a lot faster.
