Celebrity Apprentice: Patricia Velasquez

I didn’t post anything last week because frankly the show was boring. Tia and Lou were the team captains and I knew Tia was going to lose. Penn got under Clay Aiken’s skin by doing very little to make it happen. I am not sure if Clay is high strung or not. Penn didn’t even flex hard and Clay was all pissy.
This week the challenge was a launch party for Crystal lite. Lisa expressed her goal of getting rid of the Latin Ladies. The women picked Aubry as the project manager and she sucked up to the Crystal Lite people during her manager acceptance speech. The guys picked Clay. Then in the car they found out no one was a real party person and had trouble with a theme. I don’t get it, a party is a lot like a show and all those guys are in show business. So, what is the problem guys? Penn was completely silent and Chopper dude was looking out the window like a homesick summer camper.
The Gingers seem to understand the core of the task and lead their teams to get to work. Penn decides to contribute less as a defense mechanism. Patricia does not bow down to Lisa so Lisa takes it to Aubrey to be her back up. Teresa gets to work because she is the ultimate party planner. They show a shot of her measuring for furniture with gusto. The guys clearly feel at a disadvantage. The difference between the groups now is the women have open hostility towards each other and the men have theirs under wraps. Both are huge scary monsters just waiting to pounce. I feel the same anxiety as when playing with a Jack in the Box, waiting for it to pop. It is exquisite!
Ivanka visits the men and Penn is at the store with Arsenio. They suck up to her and then throw Penn under the buss. Donald Jr. visits the women and Aubrey admits a major crush on him. I take it to mean, she’d do him in a second if he opened the door just an inch. She bats her eyelids and talks about all they are doing and Donald is completely bored by their idea. Teresa points out that they may be off track from their focus about health. Crystal lite is about fun, not healthy. Donald says they are missing the fun. The men were calling everyone to invite them to the party, while the women at the same point did not invite anyone yet. And seriously, I have not seen Miss World since the tasks were assigned.
Come back from commercial, there she is! Taking pictures of plants with Debbie Gibson. Gibson also wrote an original song however,I am thinking by saying Crystal DELIGHT, and not lite, that might work against her. She goes into the studio to produce it and get copies to give out. The guys bring in music as entertainment for the party. The pressure is on the Gingers but so far neither has cracked. Turn the crank on the Jack in the Box, one more time.
It turns out that both parties looked fun. Arsenio kept pointing to the heavier set guests and guessing correctly that they were Clay-mates. Miss World invited more queens in order to get more good looking people there. I did not say it, she did, on camera. Execs were impressed by Aubrey. Maybe they thought there was nothing going on under all that red hair. But they felt the guys did not have enough signage.
The women lost and Aubrey cried. Mr Trump must be one of those men that are affected by tears because he still gave her $10k of his personal money. Aubrey said she should stay because she is so valuable. Finally Miss World said the truth, Lisa and Aubrey lead the ideas and yet they have only won 2 out of 6. The men had figured that out long ago.
Aubrey brings all of Venezuela back into the board room. Patricia got fired. And that was that.
Celeb Apprentice 2012- Victoria Gotti

Lisa L was the project manager and the women lost. Spoiler alert! LOL.. I know it’s too late now.
The deal is Penn knew how to put on a show that would please the audience, Lisa put on a show to please the cast. Housewives of Lancelot or some crap.
Here’s the question? How bad is your show when you can win after lady parts popping out everywhere? Yeah, the show was boring and really bad when they
added a Snookie!
Victoria Gotta was fired because- she said she would go tell on Lisa to Mr Trump- quit and work with the men’s team. She felt unappreciated. I realized you have to make your team feel a part of what you are doing. She never felt that and rebelled, however, Trump hates and quitter so she was sent home. Lisa L lives to snarl again.
Penn picked 2 random people to be fired and got 2 completely different responses. Penn said he just had to pick but he didn’t think he would have to name anyone cause they won. He apoligized over and over again. Lou F ( the hulk) was pissed that he was picked. G. Takai realized it was all hypothetical and blew it off. Just goes to show you , its not what is done to you but how you respond. Lou… take a break, we all think you are a cool dude!
side bar- I love how George T made Clay A crazy by pretending to mess up the lines the entire rehearsal. If Clay thought George was going to be anything but professional when show-time came, he was mistaken. And now George knows his hot spots! I say George will take Clay down in a future round.
Penn was brilliant and Debbie Gibson showed her butt (literally) but they are still my faves and I am bias.
Celeb Apprentice 2012- Cheryl Tiegs

Cheryl Tiegs was the first to be booted off Celebrity Apprentice. Her comment was that it was an environment where you had to be hard and she did not want to be that way. She is a seasoned business woman, so being hard may not be her style but I am sure the world of modeling was not just easy come easy go! I think having to make sandwiches turned her off and she thought that weeks of manual labor isn’t too cool. Whatever it was, the big lesson for me was when Penn told everyone how to brand the sandwiches. I think it helped them focus on making a better sandwich. Then he also talked about how their team leader was powerful and not overpowering. They never got to see how tough he could be because they all worked together and went for the goal. The leader also had a secret weapon of ONE person giving over $300,000.
When the Chopper was asked who he would boot off, he picked the one black guy and the one Asian ( and gay) guy. He has no idea what a bad move that was. He exposed his personal biases that have nothing to do with the people actually in his group. George Takei has seen some hard times and knows how to scrap! Arsenio Hall has too, his jokes are just to throw you off. And now they know exactly how to throw the Chopper off his game when the time comes. Right now the task is beat the women’s team as many times as you can to knock them off, then start gunning for each other.
While the ladies held back their big donors (for their own time when they were team leaders), the men did not appear to do that. I say… did not appear to do that. If each of them has a big gun saved for their own projects they kept that information to themselves, which the women were clearly all holding that game plan. Cheryl was admitted it and also said she didn’t think this was her environment. That sealed her fate and she was fired.
Here is the key! Not every project is based on fund raising, so saving your big guns for YOUR Time at bat, could cause you to lose a LOT of tasks because you never needed them when you were project manager.
Big lesson? Branding is key and being a leader doesn’t have to be done by being heavy handed.
My money is on Penn for the win and on the women’s team I want Debbie Gibson to win. Yes this is a totally biased post.
