WOMEN HARASSED IN WORKPLACE HAVE A NEW FRIEND & NON-PROFIT ADVOCATE Professional Women’s Anonymous Provides Support, Education, Certification & Media Management

 (Atlanta, GA, USA) – “Harassment has many faces. We define it as any unwanted action, gesture, or word that causes an individual or group to feel uncomfortable and/or at a disadvantage. By creating standards for reporting harassment anonymously, we make sure that even unreported cases get heard of and - as a non-legal alternative - want to educate corporations to prevent devastating consequences of harassment cases,” explains founder and President, M. Sandi Aigoro.

Professional Women’s Anonymous (PWA or ProWomen.org) announces its second Annual Fundraiser & Awards Luncheon on July 26^th, Golf & Tennis starts 8:00am at Chateau Élan Winery and Resort 6060 Golf Club Drive, Atlanta, GA 30517.

The Luncheon will recognize winners of the 2008 Tennis and Golf Celebrity Challenge winners, organization sponsors and members who have supported PWA during the past year and aims to raise funds to support its cause nationwide. The event will include photo ops with members of the new professional women’s basketball team, The Atlanta Dreams and other special guests.

“We are very excited to host our second fundraising event to raise funds for this worthy cause and have support from corporate and individual and organizational sponsors including: The Atlanta Dreams, our own Atlanta City Council Woman Carla Smith and Metro New York Council Woman at Large, Kimberly Francois, Uptown Scoop Magazine, Women’s Leadership Exchange, Deborah Britt Roebuck with The Siegel Institute, Sandy Hoffman with Women in Technology and Susan Hitchcock with Turknett are supporting this year’s fundraiser.  It promises to be an interesting event, and we are hoping for it to be a successful one too! M. Sandi Aigoro recently nominated for the Turknett Leadership and Character Award and recognized as Outstanding Non Profit Organization of the year by Wright Place TV in Southern California, founded Professional Women’s Anonymous in May 2007. Having been affected by un-provable and unreported work harassment herself, Aigoro realized that there is a great need for a non-biased neutral forum that allows professionals (not only women) to openly express harassment issues and occurrences outside the corporate work environment.
