This is a workbook in a 3 ring binder that comes with CDs. Davey is a very clear writer. She talks time to go through each thing and explains it all. You cannot misunderstand. Chapter 1 is about who you are marketing to. If you are still the person who says your product is for everyone then you need this chapter. The next chapter is about what you want or how you want your business to run. Chapter 3 is about your niche. This is one of the best explanations of niche I have seen in a while. Once you get the concept you have it, however, until a business owners ?GETS? it, they are often wasting lots of marketing dollars. The next chapter is target market. Niche and Target Market is not the same thing. This coaching session will tell you why.
The rest of the book focuses on marketing basics. What I like about this book is that it gives you building blocks of learning. Each chapter builds on the other and you get an incredible new look at your business. She covers copywriting and packaging. Some will say you have to study for a long time to cover copywriting. This can give you a basic understanding so you can hire a good copywriter. Unless your business is copywriting, you do not want to spend a lot of time studying something you can hire out. She has a chapter on marketing tactics and one on your website. Her approach to time management is pretty simplistic. Most business owners have ?Shiny-new-Thing? syndrome and you have to learn how to deal with that. Just telling someone to schedule time to create and think is not enough. The last chapter is on closing the sale using a soft approach. The CD?s contain bonus material of charts and audios. It?s all in a cool package that you can learn from in less than a month.
