Positioning Pt 3 How You Choose Your Name

The biggest marketing decision you can make is your name. Your name should tell the prospective client what the benefit is.
If you have not read Part1 and part 2 of positioning, feel free to check them out. I am building on a those lessons.
As my friend works on her business, I have to admit, she has the name piece down cold! It’s going to be awesome when she breaks it out.
For those of you still working on it, generic names do not work well. Solid names will polarize people. They will immediately like it or hate it. And that is a good thing. You want those who hate the name to leave. You do not want or need them as customers.
What about initials you say? Like IBM and RCA? Well people will only use initials if they are significantly shorter than the word. For example- Los Angeles and L.A.
Whats your thing? A full name or just initials? LAMFK!
