By Hiring a Qualified Job Corps Graduate
For the over 15 million Americans that are unemployed, the best gift that they could receive this holiday season is the gift of a job. While Americans from all economic and social classes struggle with the tribulations of unemployment, the inexperienced youth of our country may face the most uncertain future.
Job Corps, a free education and training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor, is working to change the future of our youth. While Job Corps offers a comprehensive array of career development services for men and women ages 16 to 24, the program’s success can be attributed to their relationships with highly regarded employers from small businesses to large corporations.
“This holiday season, we’re putting a call to action to all employers to consider hiring a Job Corps graduate,” says Project Director, Andre King. “Our students receive career development training that integrates academic, vocational and social competency training in both a classroom and practical real-world work environments.
